Great reading lamp for infant/toddler bedroom! : Kenroy Home 30110BRZ Simplicity Wall Swing Arm Lamp, Bronze
After my twin babies had knocked over and broken the second reading lamp in their room, I decided to get a wall lamp so that they wouldn't be able to reach it. I love this lamp! I installed it on the wall above where the kids can reach from the floor, and while sitting in the rocking chair with one in each arm, I can nothing else but swing it towards us for reading books and then swing it back towards the wall out of reach when we transition to rocking/singing (which was all the time the part of our bedtime routine when they would reach over and grab the lampshade or knock the lamp to the floor). It has a three way switch and gives great, warm light for reading. It looks nice on the wall, too. I only docked one star because the shade it comes with is a bit flimsy and cracked while I was installing it. You can't nothing else but see the crack, though, so it's not that big a deal (and was hardly worth the time/effort to ship back for a replacement). Very easy to setup (you do need a drill, though) and it comes with a long, narrow metal cord cover that you can setup on the wall to hide the cord on its way to the outlet (another useful feature for deterring two spicy kids!).
